1. Remove large furniture/electronics from the room
2. Get three large bins or bags and label "keep," "toss," and "donate"
3. Sort everything in the room into bags/bins.
4. Throw away "toss" bag and take "donate" bag to local charity
5. Sweep floor and clean baseboards
6. Return furniture to room
7. Return items from "keep" bin/bag to room
